The Lucille’s BBQ Fort Wayne Menu has become a beloved part of Indiana’s comfort-food scene, but its roots go back to a small smokehouse founded decades ago by pitmaster Lucille Harris. She opened the first Lucille’s in Southern California in the late 1990s, building it slowly from a family-run rib joint into a multi-state barbecue favourite. When Fort Wayne finally got its own location, longtime fans welcomed the expansion, and newcomers instantly connected with its warm, nostalgic vibe and slow-smoked traditions.
Slowly, the menu evolved as Lucille’s became popular for its hardwood-smoked brisket, juicy rib plates, homemade sides, and seasonal specials.
What most guests don’t know, however, is that the restaurant also has a quiet secret menu—from off-menu rib tips to custom chopped-brisket sandwiches crafted the old-school way. These little-known items make the Lucille’s experience feel even more personal.
And through all the growth and new flavours, their original signature classic—the slow-smoked St. Louis ribs—remains the star, reminding everyone why Lucille’s became famous in the first place.
