The Expat BBQ Menu began with a simple dream back in 2012 when two longtime friends, Marco and Jayson, opened a tiny backyard pop-up in Chiang Mai. What started as a weekend hangout for travelers craving a taste of home quickly grew into a full restaurant as word spread through expat forums, travel blogs, and Google searches. Progressively, Expat BBQ became known not just for its warm, laid-back atmosphere but for crafting comfort food that reminded people of where they came from.
As the crowds grew, so did the menu — smoky brisket plates, perfectly charred ribs, and their famous house-made sauces became instant favorites.
What many don’t know, however, is that the Expat BBQ also has a secret menu: off-menu brisket burnt-end sandwiches, a “Traveler’s Platter,” and a quietly legendary spicy garlic rib glaze known only by regulars.
