Choo Choo BBQ of Hixson has been a neighborhood staple since its founding decades ago, when a local family with a passion for authentic Southern barbecue decided to share their recipes with the community. Starting as a humble roadside spot in Hixson, Tennessee, the restaurant quickly gained a loyal following, thanks to its smoky flavors, hearty portions, and friendly, down-home atmosphere. Over time, word spread beyond the neighborhood, and what began as a small family venture grew into a local legend.
As the menu expanded, guests discovered more than just ribs and pulled pork—there were unique sides, hearty platters, and even seasonal specials. What many don’t realize, though, is that Choo Choo BBQ also has a “secret menu” that longtime fans whisper about—hidden gems that keep people coming back for more.
